Steel, glass, cable, wood, composite
Railings define your deck's character while keeping people safe. Code requires 36-inch minimum height for residential, 42-inch for commercial, and infill that stops a 4-inch sphere from passing through—whether that's cables at 3-inch spacing, tempered glass panels, or traditional pickets. We design within these constraints to create railings that look intentional, not like afterthoughts bolted onto your deck.
We fabricate in our own shop: powder-coated steel for modern industrial style, stainless cable systems for minimal visual impact, glass panels for unobstructed views, or wood and composite for traditional warmth. Each top rail withstands 200 pounds of force in any direction; each infill section handles 50 pounds distributed across a square foot. Posts are engineered for proper spacing—4 feet for cable, 5 feet for glass, 6 feet for pickets—with structural connections that transfer loads properly.
In-house fabrication means we can deliver custom curves, integrated LED lighting, drink rails for entertaining, and mixed-material designs that combine glass with steel or wood with cable. The railing becomes a design element, not just a safety requirement.
