Tropical Hardwood Terrace

A weathered pine deck in need of removal offered an opportunity to redesign this lost space into an elegant and low maintenance extension of the home interior.

This renovation highlights a steel frame platform with tropical hardwood ipe decking and privacy screens. The durability and natural warmth of ipe helped transform the previously unattractive deck into an inviting and cozy outdoor living space. This deck features a comfortable lounge area outfitted with a gas operated fire pit table as well as a 4 top dining set, fiberglass planters and low maintenance landscaping.

The laser cut metal panels introduce interior details to the deck as well as break apart the large amounts of ipe material. A low voltage lighting system extending into the backyard landscape brings this entire space to life late into the evening.
